It’s possible to have a stable relationship with your money, even if it feels unpredictable

Hi, I’m Lauren

I believe you can have a joyful relationship with your money. That you can be at peace with your finances and improve, all while treating yourself with compassion. I am an Accredited Financial Counsellor® Canada and I’m passionate about helping people develop their relationship with their finances. The financial industry can be intimidating and the financial services I have used have often met me with judgement and contempt. I know first hand the thrill of starting a new budgeting app and the sting of setbacks and overwhelm. I had to surrender the traditional methods of managing money, which disregard the internal emotional factors, and embrace a path of  joyful money.

I know it is possible to stabilize your cash flow and operate with a system that allows you to expand your relationship with money and manoeuvre over financial obstacles with ease. Together we will create a system of money management that complements your personality, aligns with your values, and creates the peace and predictability you’ve been searching for.

What is a Fiduciary?

As an Accredited Financial Counsellor® Canada,(AFCC) Lauren is governed by the Association for Financial Counselling & Planning Education (AFCPE). The AFCPE holds Counsellors to a fiduciary standard which means that rather than just providing suitable advice, there is greater discernment on the part of the provider and the clients needs are clearly identified before recommendations are given. There is a high ethical standard to ensure that advice is unbiased and in the clients best interest.

AFCC in private practise may not sell any financial products, pay or receive commissions from other financial professionals and must have alternative solutions should their fees be out of reach for a potential client.

When i’m not Working

When I’m not with clients you will find me hanging out with my partner and kids or embarking on a new creative hobby (impulse buying ALL the supplies only to move one after one project).

I really value community, so I spend a lot of time volunteering. Currently I sit as the Chair for my kids’ school Parent Council and as a member of the Junior Rugby Committee for my kids Rugby Club. One day I dream of doing standup, and speaking on stage about money with levity and hope.
